A roof pitch written as rise:12 converts to an angle in degrees with the arctangent of rise ÷ 12. A 6/12 pitch is 26.6°.
degrees = arctan(rise ÷ 12). A 6/12 pitch = 26.6°; a 12/12 pitch = 45°.
